Answer to al-Qardawi and Ahmedinejad!

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad blamed the United States and Israel on Thursday for the destruction of a Shiite shrine's golden dome in Iraq, saying it was the work of "defeated Zionists and occupiers."

But some Islamic clerics and the Lebanese Hezbollah organization blamed the United States.

"We cannot imagine that the Iraqi Sunnis did this," said the influential Sunni cleric Sheik Youssef al-Qaradawi, an Egyptian who lives in Qatar. "No one benefits from such acts other than the U.S. occupation and the lurking Zionist enemy." Yahoo news
Well I think my previous article just answers what al-Qardawi and Ahmadinejad come out with. I just want someone to convince me how the "US occupation and the lurking Zionist enemy" would benefit from this.

You know what the real problem is? It is whenever something is very terrible is done, it can never be one of us who did it, and it must be a conspiracy, someone who is digging under our feet so that we fall... So what? So blame the others: Zionists, Americans or even Danes if possible, a list of ready-made people to be blamed is ready. Take ur pick.

If the Sunnis did not do this, where is the Iraqi Sunni condemnation of the bombing in Iraq? Why can't we find any signs of condemnation or anger towards what happened to the shrine?

Even if not all the Iraqi Sunnis did this, their silence is a loud support to what happened, isn't?

JC,

Jeff here in sunny California. Came across your blog via Sandmonkey and thought I'd send you a note.
I have to say that I truley admire you and your fellow travelers in the Muslim world. Those in my country who continually attack president Bush, or the military, or the war in Iraq, ect...believe they are soooo freakin' courageous because they "stand up" to the "neo-cons" in our government. Knowing perfectly well that saying WHATEVER THEY WANT no matter how disgusting or untrue is totally permissable in this country.

YOU, on the other hand, are standing up in a place where you could be jailed, beaten, or even killed if you dare say the "wrong" thing. You, my friend, and others like you are showing genuine courage and I salute you and your efforts to shed light in a very dark corner of humanity.

I would like to give you this link:

It's a sample of a song I wrote and is performed by my band Chapter 1. The song is called Never and it's about never giving up no matter what. The lyrics are relevent to todays events in that we should never, ever give up OUR fight for enlightenment

I really don’t get the point of blowing up Mosques. Why would anyone wanna do that? More importantly, who would wanna do that? I don't think that Sunnis are that close minded or fanatic.
The way I see it, whoever did that is an extremely fanatic person with a dangerous Agenda. He can be an Iraqi, an Arab, it doesn’t matter; all what matters is that he is someone who would benefit from creating mass havoc that might lead to a civil war….

Have yo not noticed that Abu Zarqawi and his Al Qaeda in Iraq group has been blowing up Shiite mosques and attacking Shiite targets for several years now?

Al Qaeda benefits from a civil war because only through violence can they gain a foothold in the country.

Is it just my dyslexia or is that Egyptian flag inverted ? You may want to let Corbis.com know. What's surprising is that you say you're in Cairo, possibly speak Arabic ? and read it too ? and you have built this blog to talk to us about your "Observations" ?!! :)

Answering spellingbee's nice questions lol..
Corbis.com knows and this photo is set for free use, u can have it from yahoo urself and use it too. The flag is inverted in the Corbis.com photo and I made no changes to it and the inversion just indicates nothing :).
Well yeah I live in Cairo, speak and read Arabic and this is my corner in English so that people from all over the world can read and understand the thoughts of a standard Arab youngman.
Something wrong with that? ;)

JC,
First time here. Nice blog keep it up.

I agree with you that we try to blame all our misery on "them" (whoever ends up being on the "them" side at the moment!). But the fact that the Americans didn't do it doesn't contradict the fact that they have a lot to gain from it since a gun that is not pointed at an American soldier is one less gun to worry about. You can read my entire argument here
